1Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to FaceofMind websites, apps, professional portals, APIs, customer workspaces, and related services. It supplements our Terms of Service and explains the behaviors we do not allow on the platform.

2Prohibited use

  • Use FaceofMind for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity.
  • Post, upload, transmit, or request content that is violent, exploitative, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Use the platform to encourage self-harm, suicide, violence, or dangerous real-world actions.
  • Impersonate another person, professional, clinic, or organization, or misrepresent your authority or credentials.
  • Attempt to scrape, probe, reverse-engineer, bypass, or interfere with the website, app, APIs, models, or security controls without prior written authorization.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to create fake accounts, bypass rate limits, or generate excessive requests.
  • Upload malware, spam, phishing material, or anything designed to disrupt service or compromise another user.
  • Use FaceofMind data, AI outputs, or workflows to profile, discriminate against, or unlawfully surveil other people.
  • Use FaceofMind to generate deceptive, fraudulent, or malicious AI-generated content.
  • Attempt to copy, resell, license, or commercially exploit FaceofMind or its services without authorization.
  • Share API credentials or use another user's credentials to access the platform.
  • Collect, share, or expose someone else's private, sensitive, or health-related information without lawful authority and consent.
  • Access, export, or download other users' mental health data for purposes other than providing direct care to that specific individual.

Security Research Exception: Authorized security testing performed with our prior written permission or through an official vulnerability disclosure program is permitted. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@faceofmind.com.

3Crisis and emergency misuse

FaceofMind is not an emergency response service. You may not rely on the platform as a substitute for emergency, crisis, or real-time medical intervention. If someone is in danger or immediate distress, contact local emergency or crisis resources right away.

4Clinical boundaries & provider responsibilities

Psychologists and clinicians must not provide diagnosis, treatment planning, or clinical assessment through FaceofMind in lieu of licensed, regulated practice. The platform is a supplement to clinical care, not a replacement. Providers remain solely responsible for validating all AI observations through independent clinical engagement.

5Protection of minors

FaceofMind is restricted to individuals aged 13 and older. For users under 18, FaceofMind may limit specific features or require verifiable parental or guardian consent. Minors must not be contacted by unknown adults or non-authorized clinical representatives.

6Enforcement

We may investigate suspected misuse, remove content, rate-limit access, suspend features, terminate accounts, refuse or revoke access to the Service, or take other protective action when this policy or applicable law is violated.
