I. Installation Guide

Mobile App Installation

FaceofMind mobile app is available for both Android and iOS devices. Follow the steps below to install the app.

For Android Users

  1. Download the FaceofMind APK file from the provided link
  2. Enable "Install from Unknown Sources" in your Android device settings:
    • Go to Settings → Security (or Apps & Notifications)
    • Enable "Unknown Sources" or "Install Unknown Apps"
    • Select your browser or file manager to allow installations
  3. Open the downloaded APK file
  4. Tap "Install" when prompted
  5. Wait for the installation to complete
  6. Tap "Open" to launch the app
  7. You can disable "Unknown Sources" after installation for security

Note: The FaceofMind app will be available on Google Play Store soon. For now, please download the APK file directly.

For iOS Users

  1. Open App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Search for "FaceofMind" in the search bar
  3. Tap on the FaceofMind app from the search results
  4. Tap the "Get" button (or download icon)
  5. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password
  6. Wait for the installation to complete
  7. Tap "Open" to launch the app

System Requirements

  • Android: Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher
  • iOS: iOS 13.0 or higher
  • Internet Connection: Required for account creation and data synchronization
  • Camera & Microphone: Required for emotion detection features (permissions will be requested)

First Launch

When you first open the app, you'll be prompted to:

  1. Create an account or sign in with Google
  2. Grant camera and microphone permissions (for emotion detection)
  3. Complete your profile setup
  4. Review and accept the privacy policy and terms of service

II. User Guide

Getting Started

After installing and creating your account, you'll receive 10 free AI session credits to get started. Here's what you can do:

Core Features

1. Emotion Detection

  • Start a session from the home screen
  • Allow camera and microphone access when prompted
  • The AI will analyze your emotions in real-time
  • View results and get wellness suggestions
  • Track patterns over time in your analytics
  • The system detects 7 core emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Surprise, Fear, Disgust, and Neutral

2. Mood Tracking

  • Log your mood daily from the home screen
  • Add notes about what's affecting your mood
  • View mood trends in your analytics
  • Set reminders for daily mood logging
  • Track mood streaks (consecutive positive days)
  • Get AI-powered insights based on your mood patterns

3. Journaling

  • Create journal entries from the journal section
  • Write about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences
  • Review past entries to track progress
  • Link journal entries with mood entries
  • Export journal entries if needed

4. Interactive Games

  • Quiz Game: Answer daily AI-generated questions to earn points (20 points for correct, 5 for participation)
  • Virtual Pet: Care for a digital companion to build routine and responsibility
  • Garden Game: Grow plants as you progress in your mental health journey
  • Earn points and unlock achievements for consistent engagement

5. Professional Access

  • Browse psychologists from the professionals section
  • Filter by specialization, location, and availability
  • View psychologist profiles and credentials
  • Purchase consultation tickets using reward points
  • Book appointments directly in the app
  • Generate QR codes to securely share your wellness data with professionals
  • Communicate via secure messaging during consultations
  • Receive follow-up reports (PDF) after consultations

6. Reward Points System

  • Earn points for completing daily activities
  • Unlock achievements for milestones
  • Build daily streaks for bonus rewards
  • Redeem points for:
    • AI Consultation sessions
    • Psychologist appointment tickets
    • Premium features upgrade
    • Partnership discounts
  • Purchase additional reward points via Google Play Store if needed

Privacy Settings

  • Access privacy settings from your profile

  • Manage voice transcript sharing preferences
  • Control emotion detection data sharing
  • Export or delete your data anytime

Troubleshooting

  • App won't start: Check internet connection, restart app

  • Can't book appointment: Check psychologist availability, verify you have enough reward points
  • QR code not working: Ensure QR code hasn't expired, generate a new one if needed

III. Psychologist Documentation

Getting Started

As a licensed psychologist, you can access the FaceofMind Psychologist Portal to manage patients, conduct consultations, and access patient wellness data. However, the portal is not publicly accessible - you must first request partnership access.

Requesting Portal Access

To gain access to the Psychologist Portal, you need to submit a partnership request:

  1. Visit the Contact page on our website
  2. Fill out the contact form with the following:
    • Select "Partnership" as the subject
    • Select "Healthcare Partnership" as the partnership type
    • Provide your professional information (name, email, phone, company/clinic name)
    • Include your license number and credentials in the message
    • Explain your interest in joining the FaceofMind platform
  3. Submit the contact form
  4. Wait for our team to review your partnership request
  5. You'll receive an email invitation with portal access credentials if approved

Important: The Psychologist Portal requires invitation-only access. You cannot register or access the portal directly without first submitting a partnership request and receiving approval via email.

After Receiving Invitation

Once you receive the email invitation:

  1. Click the portal access link provided in the email
  2. Login with the credentials sent to you
  3. Complete your professional profile with credentials and clinic information
  4. Set your availability calendar
  5. Start accepting patient bookings

Patient Management

Receiving Bookings

  • You'll receive real-time notifications when a patient books an appointment
  • View booking details including patient name, appointment date, and booking ID
  • Confirm or reschedule appointments as needed

QR Code Validation

  1. When a patient arrives for consultation, ask them to present their QR code
  2. Use the QR scanner in the portal to scan the patient's QR code
  3. The system will validate the QR code and grant you access to the patient's wellness data
  4. A consultation session will be automatically created

Accessing Patient Data

Once you've validated the QR code, you'll have access to:

  • Mood History: Complete mood tracking timeline with dates and notes
  • Emotion Intensity Logs: Daily emotion logs with intensity scores and patterns
  • Trends Analysis: Visual charts showing mood and emotion trends over past weeks
  • AI Insights: Behavioral patterns, triggers, and AI-generated insights about the patient
  • Crisis Flags: Any risk indicators and alerts that have been detected
  • Session Notes: Ability to add and review clinical notes during and after sessions
  • Chat Messages: Access to secure messaging conversation if applicable to the booking

Note: You do NOT have access to patient game progress, private posts, or payment information. Your access is limited to wellness and clinical data relevant to the consultation.

During Consultation

  1. Review the patient's mood history and trends
  2. Examine emotion patterns and intensity logs
  3. Review AI-generated insights and crisis flags
  4. Conduct your consultation using the available data
  5. Add session notes as you progress through the consultation
  6. Note any observations or recommendations

Completing a Session

  1. After the consultation, complete the session in the portal
  2. Add final session notes and recommendations
  3. The system will mark the consultation ticket as used
  4. Optionally create a follow-up record if needed
  5. Generate and share a PDF report with the patient if required

Follow-Up Sessions

  • Every booking includes 1 free follow-up session
  • You can schedule follow-up sessions automatically or manually
  • Follow-up sessions help evaluate patient stability and progress
  • Create follow-up records with detailed notes and recommendations
  • Generate PDF reports for follow-up sessions

Patient Records

  • View all your patients in the patient management section
  • Access consultation history for each patient
  • Review past session notes and reports
  • Track patient progress over time
  • Manage patient information securely

Profile Management

  • Update your professional profile and credentials
  • Manage clinic information and location
  • Set and update your availability calendar
  • Set consultation pricing
  • Manage your professional information

Data Privacy & Security

  • All patient data is encrypted using security practices inspired by HIPAA/GDPR
  • QR code access is time-limited and revocable by patients
  • You only have access to data relevant to the consultation
  • All session notes are encrypted and securely stored
  • Follow professional ethics and patient confidentiality guidelines

IV. Psychiatrist Documentation

Coming Soon: The Psychiatrist Portal is currently under development. This section will be updated with complete documentation once the portal is available.

Overview

The FaceofMind Psychiatrist Portal will allow licensed psychiatrists to receive patient referrals from psychologists, conduct medical evaluations, provide diagnoses, and prescribe medications when appropriate.

Requesting Portal Access

Similar to psychologists, psychiatrists will need to request partnership access:

  1. Visit the Contact page on our website
  2. Fill out the contact form with the following:
    • Select "Partnership" as the subject
    • Select "Healthcare Partnership" as the partnership type
    • Provide your professional information (name, email, phone, clinic/hospital name)
    • Include your medical license number and credentials in the message
    • Specify that you are a psychiatrist interested in joining the platform
    • Explain your interest in the FaceofMind referral system
  3. Submit the contact form
  4. Wait for our team to review your partnership request
  5. You'll receive an email invitation with portal access credentials if approved

Planned Features

Once available, the Psychiatrist Portal will include:

  • Referral Management: Receive and review patient referrals from psychologists
  • QR Code Scanning: Scan referral QR codes to access locked therapy summaries
  • Patient Data Access: View therapy summaries, mood trends, crisis history, and AI insights (read-only)
  • Medical Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive medical assessments
  • Diagnosis & Prescription: Provide ICD-10/DSM-5 diagnoses and medication prescriptions
  • Clinical Reports: Create sealed clinical reports linked to psychologist therapy summaries
  • Patient Records: Manage patient records and consultation history
  • Follow-Up Management: Schedule and manage follow-up appointments

Referral Process (Planned)

The referral workflow will work as follows:

  1. Psychologist completes therapy cycle and determines patient needs medical evaluation
  2. Psychologist generates a referral QR code with locked therapy summary
  3. Patient receives QR code and presents it to psychiatrist
  4. Psychiatrist scans QR code in the portal
  5. System validates QR code and grants read-only access to therapy summary
  6. Psychiatrist reviews clinical data and conducts medical evaluation
  7. Psychiatrist creates diagnosis and prescription if needed
  8. Clinical report is generated and sealed, linked to original therapy summary
  9. Complete clinical loop is closed

Data Access (Planned)

When accessing a referral, psychiatrists will have read-only access to:

  • Locked Therapy Summary: Complete therapy documentation from psychologist
  • Mood & Emotion Trends: Historical mood data and patterns
  • Crisis History: All crisis flags and alerts
  • AI Analysis: AI-generated insights and behavioral patterns
  • Psychologist's Notes: Clinical notes and observations
  • Digital Stamp: Verification hash from psychologist's summary

Note: Psychiatrists will NOT have access to patient game progress, private posts, chat messages, or payment information. Access is limited to clinical data relevant to medical evaluation.
